Events
What an event is in gd streamer, how it relates to games and quick matches, and where to start.
Last updated: 2026-09-12Events come first#
An event is a tournament, a league night, or any day with more than one game to stream. You set it up once: the rounds, the times, the breaks. Each round is a game you can put on stream.
The Events page is the first screen after you sign in. It lists your events with their dates, game system and progress, and it shows which game is live on your channel right now.
Events, games and quick matches#
| Term | What it is |
|---|---|
| Event | The tournament. Holds the schedule, the roster and the teams data. |
| Game | One match inside an event. Round 3 of a five round GT is a game. It has players, scores, a timer and overlays, the same as any match. |
| Quick match | A match that does not belong to an event. Use it for a one-off game. |
A game and a quick match work the same on the inside. Both have a dashboard, a tablet link, overlay URLs and a Stream Deck profile. The difference is where they sit: a game is on an event's schedule, a quick match is on its own.
Plan limits#
Events and quick matches both count toward the project limit of your plan. Each event can hold a set number of games:
| Plan | Events plus quick matches | Games per event |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 1 |
| Standard | 2 | 3 |
| Studio | 10 | 30 |
Schedule times, breaks and the Best Coast Pairings import are on the Studio plan. studio
