Running the day

Work from the event schedule on the day: add players to a game, go live, switch tables, edit times and breaks.

The schedule page#

Open the event. The Schedule page lists the games and breaks in order, grouped by round, with their times in the event time zone. A game row shows its players, or "No players yet", and its battle round and score once it is in progress.

The event menu on the left lists every game under Schedule, in schedule order, with its players. Click a game to open its dashboard. A green dot marks the game that is live.

On a game the menu shows the same list. The pages of the game you are on, such as Overview, Match setup and Players, sit under it. Click another game to switch to it.

This is the page you work from on the day.

Add the players#

Click the game name on the schedule, or the game in the menu, to open its dashboard. Then open Players in the menu. On a Warhammer 40K game, open General under Players. A game without players shows No players yet. Add them on the schedule. Click it to open the players page.

If the event has a roster from Best Coast Pairings, pick each player from the list and the name, faction, team and list link are filled in.

Everything else about a game, mission, deployment, scoring options, works as it does on any match. See Dashboard.

Go live#

Press Go live on the game you are about to stream. Every overlay on your channel URL switches to that game. The row gets a Live badge and the event card on the Events page shows which game is on air.

When the next round starts, press Go live on the next game. Nothing changes in OBS.

Info

Go live needs a channel slug. Set one under Settings once, then use the channel overlay URLs in OBS. Overlay URLs that contain a match id do not switch.

Stop live clears the channel. The overlays show nothing until you go live on another game.

More than one table#

An event with two streamed tables per round has two games per round. Press Go live on the table you want on stream. Switching back and forth takes one click each way.

Edit the schedule#

  • Add game creates a game under a round, with an optional table number and times.
  • Add break puts a break after a round.
  • The pencil on a game edits its name and times. An end time presets the game's round timer.
  • Breaks are edited in place. Press the pencil, change the name or times, press Save.
  • The arrows move a game or a break up and down the list.
  • The bin deletes a game. The confirmation names its players and warns when it has scores.

Times and breaks are on the Studio plan. studio

Timers#

A game whose schedule item has an end time gets its timer preset to that moment as a target time when the game is created or the time is edited. Because the schedule stores full timestamps, a round set up on Tuesday for Sunday 16:45 counts down to the right moment. The timer on the game can still be changed by hand, and is left alone once the game has started.

Table input on the Schedule page gives each table a fixed tablet link and phone link, each with its own QR code. Both follow the same assigned game. It is available on Standard and Studio. Share the link for the device your scorekeeper uses.

  1. Choose Create input link, then Share / open. Choose Open tablet or Open phone, copy its link, or scan the matching QR code.
  2. On the game you want to score, choose Start input. Creating or opening a game does not assign it automatically.
  3. The device shows the event, table, round and players. The scorekeeper checks these and taps Open game.
  4. For the next round, choose Start input on the next game for that table. The same page offers the new game; no new link or scan is needed.

On phone input for Warhammer 40,000, choose your player after opening each game. Event links never reuse a saved player choice, even when returning to a previously played match or reconnecting. Existing match-specific phone links still remember your choice. Supported game systems and score controls are unchanged.

Go live controls the stream. Start input controls score input. Switching the stream between tables does not move the scorekeepers away from their own games.

Choose Stop input to leave a table waiting without changing its link. Links last 30 days. Replace link immediately invalidates the previous link and its score-input sessions, stops input on connected tablets and phones, and creates a new link valid for 30 days. Share the replacement link with your scorekeepers.

The device pauses when it cannot verify the current assignment and asks you to open the game again after reconnecting. Input from a previous assignment is never carried over to the new game. If a game is deleted, detached from its event, or moved to another table, its devices wait for a new assignment.

A game in an event has no Player Input Links of its own. Its match page shows the Table input link of its table, and Start input there sends that game to the table. The Admin Tablet still opens that specific match. Treat input links as score-input access: share them only with your scorekeepers.
