Getting Started

gd streamer is a professional streaming overlay system designed specifically for Warhammer 40K tournaments. It provides real-time scoring overlays that sync instantly when players input scores at the table, eliminating the need for manual score updates during your broadcast.

After creating a game in your dashboard, you'll get unique overlay URLs. In OBS Studio, add a new Browser Source for each overlay you want to use, paste the URL, and position it on your scene. The overlays have transparent backgrounds and will update automatically.

No special hardware is required. gd streamer runs entirely in the browser. You'll need a computer for streaming (with OBS or similar), and optionally a tablet for the player input panel at the gaming table.

Players use the tablet input panel - a split-screen interface where both players can enter their scores simultaneously. Simply open the tablet URL on any device with a browser, and players tap to update their scores after each battle round.

Features

gd streamer includes 28+ overlay graphics: scoreboards, lower thirds, player cards, mission displays, timer bars, round counters, team banners, secondary objectives displays, WTC tables, full-screen scores, army lists, camera frames, and more.

Yes, you can set custom colors for each player/team to match your tournament branding or players' army colors. Colors are applied across all relevant overlays automatically.

The timer supports two modes: countdown (set a duration and it counts down) or target time (set an end time and it counts toward it). You can control the timer from the dashboard, and it displays on your stream overlays.

WTC (World Team Championship) scoring is an optional toggle that automatically converts Victory Points to WTC tournament points using the official conversion table. Perfect for WTC-format events.

Presets let you save your overlay configurations (player names, colors, army info, etc.) and quickly load them for future games. Pro subscribers get unlimited presets.

Technical

gd streamer uses real-time database technology. When a player submits a score on the tablet, the change is instantly broadcast to all connected overlays - typically within 100-200ms. No refresh needed.

gd streamer works in all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For OBS browser sources, we recommend using the latest version of OBS Studio.

Yes, both Standard and Studio plans let you invite co-streamers by email. They get access to control the game without needing your login credentials.

Currently, gd streamer doesn't have a public API, but we're considering it for future versions. If you have specific integration needs, please contact us.

No, overlays require an internet connection to receive real-time updates. If connection is lost, overlays will show the last known state until reconnected.
