Team roles#

Every match team member has a role that determines what they can do. There are three roles:

Owner#

The person who created the match. Full control over everything.

  • Edit all match settings and player data
  • Update scores and game state
  • Manage the timer
  • Invite and remove team members
  • Change member roles
  • Delete the match
  • Manage billing and subscription

There is exactly one owner per match. Ownership cannot be transferred.

Editor#

A co-streamer with full game control but no administrative access.

  • Edit all match settings and player data
  • Update scores and game state
  • Manage the timer
  • View team members

Editors cannot:

  • Delete the match
  • Invite or remove team members
  • Change member roles
  • Access billing or subscription settings

Viewer#

Read-only dashboard access for observers.

  • View the match dashboard and all data
  • See scores, settings, and team members

Viewers cannot:

  • Edit any match data
  • Change scores or game state
  • Manage the timer or team

Public access#

Overlay URLs and player input links do not require any role or account. They are public links that work for anyone. Co-streamer roles only apply to the dashboard interface.

Tip
If you just need someone to watch the dashboard during a stream without editing anything, assign them the Viewer role. This prevents accidental changes during a live broadcast.

Changing roles#

The match owner can change any team member's role from the match team panel. Select the member, choose the new role, and the change takes effect immediately.

Removing members#

The match owner can remove any team member from the match. Removed members lose dashboard access immediately but can be re-invited later.
